Joe is awesome

I bought these wooden cake toppers and ask Joe to paint "us" on them. This is the sketch he came up with. How cute is this?

Dacia Lamb

Our awesome photographer friend Dacia Lamb took our engagement photos back in May.

Those were the images used in the "Save the Date" post cards y'all got in the mail...

She took the time to create an online album so you can purchase the prints :) you know you want a giant photo of me and Beth hanging in your living room :)

Things are coming along as the count down begins....

Things are finally coming along and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am now to the stage where I am starting to feel more excited rather than stressed.

I finished sewing my bouquet last night and am so happy with it. I actually did a better job on it than I thought I would have done. I have to admit I got a little sad when I was finishing the last flower. Maybe that means I need to do more craft projects!

Joe got his tie and shirt over the weekend and he looks so handsome! I ordered my wedding shoes. (purple pumps to go with Joe's shoes)

All the lights and laterns came in this weekend too. Can't wait to decorate!

We booked our guitarist to play at the ceremony. Davin is such a beautiful guitarist and we feel so lucky to have him play. It will not be traditional wedding music but did you expect that from us?

We also found a new place to cater our wedding. Joe and I drove to Culver City to meet with Letty and try out her yummy bbq. The place is called Santa Maria BBQ CO. check it out the website:
santamariabbq.com
For dinner we will be having pretty much the same menu as before.
Roasted Chicken
Veggie Fried Chicken
Potato Salad
Cole Sole
Grilled Veggies
Garden Salad
Garlic Toast... mmmmmm
Please come hungry.... don't forget we have apps before dinner as well.

Bachlorette Party In Kentucky

Maggie, Liza, Amy, Mary, Laura, Me, Cara, and Emily...dunno wear Ashley Morris and Kim are in the photo but they were there too!! xoxo ladies!!!

Thank you soo much to all my girlfriends for coming out for my Bachlorette Party in Louisville a couple weeks ago! Special thank to Liza, Laura and Emily for rounding up the troops. A lot of the ladies I had not seen in years! So fun!! You would have thought I would have had to wear funky stuff in my hair and receieved unmetionalble items at the party but Liza came up with a great idea and gave me tons of food that were all made in KY!

I love myself some Southern Comfort.. and I don't mean the drink!

I went home to Louisville, Kentucky last week to spend time with my family and friends before the wedding. I am so glad I did, it was just what I needed.. some southern comfort!!!

My Dad and I went around town looking for shoes but didn't have any luck. We did agree that it might be fun to wear purple shoes since the rest of the wedding party will have purple too! I can also wear the shoes again!!

Dad had his two friends come over and play wedding music on Michael's piano. It was wonderful to hear the music played in person rather than on CD!!! BTW, I am still looking for a viola, violin and cellist to play. If you know of someone please let me know a.s.a.p!

While his friends played the piano, Michael and I practiced walking down the aisle. Actually he practiced making me laugh so I won't cry down the aisle or be so nervous! Oh I just can't wait for both my Dads to walk me down the aisle!

My Mom and I did a lot of running around, we bought the favor boxes, flower pots, cup cake stand material and she addressed all the invites for me.

I love shopping with my parents! Thanks Mom and Dad and Michael for all your help!

The photos of the glasses are the champagne glasses from my parents wedding in 1967.
I love them because:

1. They were my parents
2. I love the show Mad Men and they remind me of something Don Draper would have drank out of, ha
3. They don't make glasses like that anymore!

Also shown up above is a photo of what the cupcake stand will look like and the flower pots that will mark the spot where Joe and I exchange our vows.....

Felt Flowers are on the way

So, I just got the email from Meg, the owner of princesslasertron. She sent me samples of what my bouquet and boutonniere's will look like! Here is a sample of what the boutonniere's will look like! YAY!!!
